- Pray for direction daily.
- Support those things that are pleasing to God (Establish realistic visions & goals).
- Support the family.
- Put your trust in God and your employees.
- Give thanks to God for the blessings He has given your institution in spite of you.
- Bless your employees for their faithfulness and loyalty. Inform your employees of the difficulties the institution is facing. They may accept reduced salaries or benefits until the institution returns to profitability. When the organization return profitable, then bless them for assisting in an effort to return the institution to profitability.
- Support your employees more than you value the stockholders. Most stockholders will abandon you when the institution faces difficulties but not your faithful employees.
- Value your employees above all things, they are the ones who make the money for the institution.
- Encourage your employees to be creative by giving them time to be creative.
- Too much on the platter decreases creativity, family relationships and productivity because employees are experiencing stress and depression as a result of overload and downsizing.
- Avoid downsizing people to increase profits because the cycle will continue.
- Provide security and words of appreciation, which will earn your employees commitment and loyalty.
