Matthew 12:22-36
Points to Ponder
1. Jesus knows the physical limitations of people & He seeks to heal them (Matt 12:22-23).
2. Some people will falsely accuse you because of your righteousness (Matt 12:24).
3. Your family must not be divided in their faith because it will not stand (Matt 12:25).
4. You must use the spirit of God to drive out evil in the hearts of people (Matt 12:26-28).
5. Stay strong in your faith and no one can take control of you (Matt 12:29).
6. Remain faithful to Jesus so you won’t be isolated from Him (Matt 12:30).
7. Those who give credit to Satan for the work of the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven (Matt 12:31-32).
8. When you teach the truth it will bare good fruits (Matt 12:33).
9. It is difficult for evil people to say anything good (Matt 12:34).
10. You are a reflection of the things that are built up in your heart (Matt 12:35).
11. Avoid using careless words because your unfruitful words can condemn you (Matt 12:36).
Something to Consider
There are people who will try to distract you from doing God’s work. They will try to contribute your righteous deeds to selfish acts in order to derail the mission Jesus Christ has given you. They may accuse you of being selfish when you give your money and time. Don’t worry about their false accusations because you are living a righteous life and your deeds are a reflection of your relationship with Christ.
Stay focus on the prize of salvation so others may see your good deeds. Never judge others for their wrong choices. Hopefully, your good deeds will inspire them to turn away from the wrong choices they are making. Always remember, you have the Holy Spirit that lives inside of you and He will give you strength to endure false accusations. Stand firm to the end.
