Are You and Your Family Involved With An In Crowd

Ephesians 2:11-22

This study focuses on issues we face relating to being excluded from an in crowd and how important it is to associate yourself and your family with the right group of people.

Points to Ponder

1. There was a time when you were excluded from the in crowd because you were different (Ephesians 2:11).
2. When you were excluded from the in crowd, you missed many benefits because Christ wasn’t within your heart (Ephesians 2:12).
3. If you know Christ, you are part of the in crowd and there are no longer barriers to separate you from God (Ephesians 2:13).
4. Jesus’ death and resurrection allows every race to be a part of the in crowd if they accept and believe that Jesus Christ is Lord (Ephesians 2:14-18).
5. You are the church of God because the spirit of the Lord dwells within you and you have access to Him always (Ephesians 2:19-22).

Something to Consider

Have you ever felt excluded from an in crowd. If your answer is yes, you are not alone. Everyone in the world has felt excluded at one time. There are times when you wish you could be part of an in crowd because of the wonderful things they appear to be doing. They have parties, cars, electronic devices and many friends. When you reflect on your life, you conclude your life is boring or worthless.

You must let go of those feelings and the world’s views of an in crowd. You can get involved with the greatest in crowd that exist in the universe. Get involved with an in crowd that loves Jesus Christ, love their enemy, return evil with good, forgive those who hurt them and unselfishly serve others . They are demonstrating with their lives that their foundation is built on truth, love, faith, mercy, compassion and commitment.

You can’t lose when you are involved with an in crowd. However, you must always respect those that are different but dislike their deeds that contradicts Godly principles. Jesus came to earth so that we all might be one in Christ and you are the road map for many who are not involved with an in crowd. Work hard to teach your family about God because he will grant you great joy as you travel the road life.
